I live in Breckenridge because I like to play hard. If I don’t push my body to its limit nearly every day, I begin to feel edgy and anxious. While the limitless options of Breck’s outdoor activities keep my body busy, I also value my relaxation time as well. Fortunately, we believe in treating our bodies to a bit of pampering every once in a while with a Breckenridge visit to a local spa.
Main Street is home to several modern and fantastic spas that truly know the meaning of rejuvenation. Body treatments, facials, couples massages…you name it and you’ll find it in Breckenridge.
To some, Breckenridge’s Main Street feels like a paradise of shopping, dining, and entertainment. To the rest of us, if represents the small town vibe that has brought us to our home. If you aren’t fortunate enough to live here, just get here. Breckenridge downtown lodging will give you a first hand look at the many splendid reasons the rest of us call this place home.
One of the many things I love most about summer in Breckenridge is the music. All summer long, the Breckenridge Music Festival provides exactly what our town needs to keep us smiling and mellow before the ski season–music!
While I’m much more inclined to go for a rock concert or bluegrass festival, I’m trying something new this summer. So far I haven’t been disappointed.
The Breckenridge Music Festival plays host to the Champagne Concert Series. Every Sunday in August, a different house plays host to a piano and brass trio in an intimate setting that can’t even top a mountain view. Is that classy or what?
There’s something pretty cool about going to a sophisticated event like this, after a day of getting dirty and sweaty on the hiking/mountain biking trails. This is a non-pretentious town that also caters to finer living. We really do have it all up here!
If you’re visiting town, a Breckenridge condo can be rented within walking distance of the concert. Mild summer nights, intimate venues, and superior company—give me a break. Just get tickets. You can thank me later.
Throwing a round of disc golf is a perfect way to spend a summer day, but there’s no place I’d rather do it than Breckenridge. The mountains make for a perfect backdrop and mild days keep it cool in the prime summer months.
High Country disc golf takes on a whole new meaning at The Peak One Disc Golf Course at the Frisco Peninsula Disc Golf Area. These eighteen holes surrounded by the Ten Mile Range are guaranteed to be worth your while. And, since the course is free, this is one Breckenridge activity that is sure to please.
I definitely love it when friends and family come to Breckenridge for a visit. Because I live in such a beautiful and fun town, it goes without saying that I have a pretty much revolving door or visitors. While I tried to play host to these vacationers, it just got to be too much. So, I have a strict policy now: come visit for as long as you’d like, and make yourself at home. Just don’t use my home.
Now this doesn’t mean I’m not hospitable. I help all of my friends and family find just the right Breckenridge accommodations to fit their lifestyle needs. If they are looking for affordability, I tell them about condo rentals I know of. But, if they are looking for luxury, I steer them in the direction of some of the larger vacation homes around town (and then I invite myself over each night for dinner and a soak in the hot tub).
There’s no shame in having them get their own place. It is, after all, their vacation. Why would they want to spend it at my tiny house?
